lunch at botak jones today! rather yummy but oooo..fattening!!! shared fish and chips with my mum..we were lucky they gave us two big pieces of fish... hehe.. i think they mistook my order for a large!! anyway there were many pple eating there.. quite a big portion, lotsa fries for 6 bucks! yummy!

i saw a lot of people eating this!!!!!! looks damn good right. its called a chilli dog or sth like that.. but it's super big.. i doubt a normal person can finish it.. i think it costs 10 bucks!

my brother ate this.. some turkey sausage.. he thinks it's yummy but i think not.. never liked hot dogs cos i think they are too salty.. i shall jus stick with fish and chips!

lucky i got my lazy ass out of the hse to the gym:) as my dad says.. if u dun get up and go running or sth you will soon feel too lazy to do anything else and soon you'll pant as u walk! ahhh.. i hope that doesnt happen to me.. if i burn few hundred calories a day i wun get fat right!!!??? good food + good exercise = happy me!

in the car.. on the way to peninsular hotel.. the place where i worked at last time..

my family's there to celebrate my bday in advance! cos if nt my bro's gonna book in soon and he'll probably be busy after that.

Buffet trunch this time (its like tea cum lunch kinda thing) good for long chats cos the buffet lasts from 12-4pm.. of course my family stayed only for 2 hrs

hotel looks kinda run down.. i used to have to eat at the freaking canteen.. cos the company provides lunches there.. always walk by the coleman's cafe and wondering why the food smells so nice.. haha

when i walked in today.. bam.. hit by the smell of waffles.. waffles with ice cream! really yummy.. tried many recipes but cant make big fluffy waffles like those in the buffet.

the rest are jus normal buffet food.. not fantastic but not that bad either.. the worse buffet i went to was high tea at hotel phoenix.. so luckily the food's still fresh and edible (esp waffles!!) tea tarik's good too.. there's an indian man specially there to make tea.. the first i've seen to serve teh tarik in a buffet...

i went swimming again today! nt at my house but at JAde, this condo near west mall. really shallow pool.. the deepest is like 1.2m:( but still had a good time checking out their jacuzzi thing.. they have this interesting lie-down jacuzzi that my hse doesnt have.. relaxing cept for the super cold water. i really hate the part abt getting into the water.. freezing madly cold:( but after a couple of warmups it'd be cool:)

didnt have time to check out their sauna.. as my mum's fren kept rushing us to get showered cos of some silly Akira sale..went there and the phone we wanted to buy was gone! snapped up like the wind.. so my mum was nice and decided to drive us (mum's fren, her spoilt son, and me ) to eat some absolutely delicious roast meat. I think the food's good, my mum thought so too but nt her fren! started complaining abt the hard rice and "fats on the meat". I was so absolutely irritated.. and her spoilt son didnt want to drink the milo that was ordered for him. i was really super duper irritated.. wad's more.. she didn't offer to pay for anything and complained abt everything. yes.. she's my neighbour.. my mum swims with her everyday.. and she's the reason i dun swim with my mum.. urgh!! wth!

felt better after helping my mum bake orange chiffron cakes.. we baked 3 cos my bro's coming back and he'll probably finish one by himself! okay.. food does cheer me up.
bought a whole slab of bitter dark chocolate recently and my family doesnt appreciate the bitterness.. nt sure why!

i've been spending most of my time watching movie after movie.. haha i'm going crazy!

my friends are either working or holidaying in some part of the world and there's no one to go shopping with me! so sad! i'll be working for 2 days next week so i cant shop either... hope there are good things left for me when i go next week..

now i'm stuck at home on a saturday.. waiting for bro to come home before we go for dinner.. hope i can catch a movie later or something! i've read many books and watched a lot of tv and now i dun feel like doing any of that any more.. :(:( ahhh and it's raining so i cant swim!

Mother's day today!! presented my mum with a card bright and early in the morning! and then we headed off to somewhere near novena square for lunch.. we went to soup restaurant! great environment.. with waterfall outside and everything..

my family.. this is not taken in the restaurant though..

here comes the foodd.. the chicken is soft and sweet.. and normally we eat with chilli right.. but this time we jus dip in the garlic ginger thing in the middle and it tastes damn good.. the garlic enhances rather than masks the taste of the chicken.. so i highly recommend all to go and try this dish:)

this is the pork ribs.. yummy once again.. but i still like the chicken more.. highly recommended too!

finally after a long wait.. the fish came.. the dish is called something like ikan uncle lapan.. cant really remember.. the flesh is soft and not oily at all.. it's like baby food!! yesss.. i know there's only like half a fish in that pic haha. anyway photos are taken with my phone and they are all quite blur:( i highly recommend all to go to soup restaurant if u wanna try refreshing home cooked like dishes!! yays...

after shopping around there.. my parents decided to buy a samsung lcd.. oh my gosh.. wad a hefty investment... and they are delivering the tv today!!! so i guess i'll be stuck in front of the tv more often!! wads more i'm getting a much bigger tv moved into my room!! yay!! and my brother will take my old tv.. so he has a tv in his room too!

at night.. i went to sze yong's bday party at aloha changi.. freaking far. i took 2 hrs to get home:( his party is quite fun.. well organised with games and stuff.. there were 4 pple celebrating their bdays... all the may babies.. and one of the birthday guy, whom i dun even know, made me take part in this water drinking contest.. we had to finish 1.5l of water with two straws joined together.. almost died of fullness.. urghhh.. luckily we didnt finish last! haha! sze yong's team lost and they had to dance tango.. so silly..

it's a fun fun party with lotsa bbq food:)

some girl i met at the party is really nice and chatty.. and she told me about the law of attraction.. shant elaborate further.. i dunno whether to believe it or not.. but her story sounds quite credible.. haha.. i'll jus see how it goes.

i think i'm going to fall sick again.. must be the late nights! bye!

but i still hadnt managed to find my cherry necklace.. ohhh i saw one at aldo.. quite pretty but it costs 29 bucks.. so i guessss i shall jus forget abt finding any more cherries:(

anywaysss.. spiderman 3 is a tad too draggy but i like the action and the effect. was kinda bored towards the end.. and that marks the end of my saturday day out!

Thursday! buffet at sakura with yings.. gosh.. we really ate A LOT. so much so that it's friday now and i'm still full!! urghh.. i think i'm sick of food! anyway.. these are some pictures of the food that we ate.. i totally love sashimi and jap food.. that's why i think i shud go for jap buffet next time!

friday! set off with mum as early as 9 in the morning to bugis.. went to find my aunty and we went to the temple to pray.. and we had a great meal at the market:) yummy indian rojak! althoughh i was still feeling damn full and couldnt eat much:( but my aunty kept buying food for me.. like non-stop..haha..

i jus bought two bikinis.. muahaha.. who wanna go sun tanning?!?!

*yawns* i jus woke up.. and i'm eating a banana chocolate cupcake that mummy made.. more like the smell of the cupcakes woke me up.. yes, i'm enjoying life and i wanna keep life that way..

last night was at zouk with shaydes.. yay! and that's the only nice picture with all of us cept for a stupid guy's half a face..

mummy thought i smoked cos my clothes smelt really bad this time..still.. daddy understands better.. why will i ever in my life touch those things??

i'm losing weight (surprisingly) and i'm not happy about it at all.. i think my whole body is turning into fats:(:( pleaseeee.. dun let those muscles turn into fats.. i vow i'll exercise tmr!!

what did i see when i open my eyes this morning?? 3 mths of holiday looming ahead!! great! i wanted to do so many things at one shot i almost didnt want to sleep last night.. had to pack up my room.. put all the books in place.. read HARRY POTTER book 6 before the last book comes out (yes, i'm slow i know).. go to the library to borrow books to read for 3 mths.. watch all the drama (maybe i'll start with prison break) and yada yada..

had a great time at kbox yesterday after stats paper.. went with vilia, qianwen and yuxuan straight after the paper.. we sang lotsa english songs!! Vilia and I chose most of them.. some preetty catchy tunes to stuff like PUMP IT.. its hilarious! the MVs for english songs are really lousy.. background's like some unrelated sea or vegetables with lousily spelled lyrics.. oh well.. had a fun time laughing at those small things.. we tried to sing some french songs tooooo! gosh.. it was really cool.. rapid french. although i dunno what the song means... mostly abt love maybe..
while of course the other two girls chose all the pop mandarin songs.. how not to sing SHE or jay chou at Kbox?? and so we stayed there from 2-8.. amazing!! hahaaaa...

i think i'm gonna stay home today... have some personal time.. and finally.. i can jus sit on my chair comfortably sipping coffee, stare into space and say "i'm free.. at last...:)"

yesterday was last day at sch.. last meaning the next time i go to sch will be for OB paper. haha darns..
sigh i'm so bored.. home alone right now.. only the rain and my mp3 player and me:(:( oh wellssss glad i'm not like stuck in sch or something.. in the cold reading room/ fal. haha
but then again my room's too conducive for sleeping.. i came back from tuition and slept my whole morning away!!!!!!! can imagine all my friends studying at reading room while i'm enjoying my slumber.. oh my gosh... they had a 9am-9pm date... these pple.. tskkss.

haha! i stumped my stats tutor with a qn yesterday.. she said she'd get back to me but she didnt.. actually she's jus a mba student la and i think she's not too familiar with the syllabus and everything... hmmm.. some ntu tutors are quite lousy actually.. they are either part time or students..,, not saying that profs are good tutors though.. so far all my tutors are damn slack.. i dun think they care much (university is all abt independent studying- no more long consulations/spoonfeeding like jc) i'm still trying to get used to it ya.... do my own research and stuff... it's gonna get tougher when out to work--- and some pple actually look forward to work..

oh anyway when i found my stats tutor at her so called research office.. i was damn shocked and appalled laarsss. there are like a thousand office cubicles cluttered all over the place. it's like a maze!!!!! oh my gosh.. how can anyone stand it in there. the office table is like one third the size of my room table (and i alr found my room table too small) poor research students.. sighhhh...

hellos.. guess wad its one week to exams.. but i'm not feeling the urgency to study. hahaaa.. i think its cos i'm at home and i dunno how hard pple or studying.. but anyways hope i can jus study at my own pace...

OB lesson today was probably the most fruitful lesson ever. the tutor questioned, what three things have u learnt today? and he specifically asked me to answer that.. guess because i'm always the earliest in class and he'll always come and talk to me.. give me some life lessons..and today.. i was the only one in class at the grp table whereas everyone either pon to finish their individual assignment/ study for stats quiz (wonder why pple ever take those things so seriously.. i mean the returns u get from class is definitely worth much more skipping off to study for a 10% test) anyway, back to my point.. then it struck me.. wad he said is very true.. we Singaporeans dun even know what our culture is like.. what's really unique about us?? are we chinese or western or stuck in the middle or waddddd?? so i jus replied..that we have to be more aware of our culture.. like maybe 10 years down the road when we've travelled enough we'll really appreciate wad's the Singaporean culture..

indeed.. i realised OB is not all about theories but about appreciating the organization or the society we are in. although pple say OB is really a waste of time, even I thought so, i realised that by going for OB lectures and OB tutorials.. i have really grown in terms of my way of thinking.. i guess the OB tutors jus have a way huh.. after all they are all experienced in HR or wad sorts..

that aside, i was doing accounting 2 paper and i read something that's really hilarious in the examiner's report. the question is about the performance measures of the profitability of a movie in a movie company. The measure is the use of popcorn boxes, with 5 popcorn boxes being rated good and 1 popcorn box rated not good. and some students actually misinterprete that as REAL POPCORN boxes.. saying that this measure is subjective because they can always collect more popcorn box or buy more popcorn boxes or wadever.. HAHA.. almost died laughing... hehe anyways guess that's all for today! accounting again tmr.. tutor giving revision lessons.. yay!

goshhh.. i jus woke up.. it's 12am now.. i feel like my head is throbbing.. i feel like i have a lot of things to do yet i feel slack cos it's thurs and it's end of the week.

i think proj work shud be abolished. seriously. it gives rise to too much free riders and last min pple who'll try to kope ur ideas and ur work.. sigh.. why issit so unfair.. i mean.. i think i'm doing more than my share of the proj.. more often than not i end up doing other pple's part too.. i know proj work grades are not impt to some pple.. sigh.. conflict of interest.. they shud jus change it to INDIVIDUAL work or sth... but i guess the work setting is gonna turn out the same right.. working on projs in teams.. and pple trying to claim credit for it..

many more projs to come.. if only i can be a free rider one day..

yay!! i'm at home today.. no sch no nothing no proj meetings.. i can finally get down to doing some work.. but then again.. if i'm alone at home.. i'll be sleep or slacking or watching tv or eating and i wun study at all.. haha!

accting proj's halfway done! thanks to me cos i wrote the first half!.. now waiting for my two other teammates to add in some parts to the second half ! proj's making good progress.. hope we get an A or something!! really need it cos accting quiz was not that well done.. the avg is like a fail?! then again.. it's quite unfair cos we get minus marks if we answer wrongly.. so actually the score is not that bad..

hmm lets see.. accting quiz on thurs.. this one is on excel! haha dun really know how to prepare for it but i guess excel shudnt be TOO HArD and stats quiz next week... hope its like pretty easy again.. hand up OB assignment and case study.. present stats case.. and i guess that's abt all! yipee! exams are HERE!!

anyway i watched the haunted sch on sunday.. trust me to watch stupid shows like this right! haha.. although the storyline sucks.. and only appeals to like kids.. the effects are nt bad and its not scary at all... so maybe if u're too bored or wad, or maybe u're too freeee on a sunday.. why not watch it!

today was sorta relaxed. realised i had to buy a white formal shirt for my presentation.. and so went with my parents to IMM to shop ard. yay... managed to buy something within 1 hour! was quite a good buy:) decided to bring my mum to eat fish and co cos she hadnt eaten there before.. you know adults always have this mentality.. "fish and chips only wad.. i can cook for you at home". ended up eating a seafood platter.. i didnt know the lunch seafood platter is so much cheaper.. of course the portion's smaller but my mum and I already couldnt finish it! oh well.. that's my fulfilling lunch for the day:) the same thing happened when i decided to bring her to eat MOS burger and she kinda fell in love with it. haha!! i bet there'll be more MOS burger times to come...

okies.. it's back to mugging for stats.. i really dunno how to study for it. after all it's open book.. dun really need to memorise anything and i've got physics of sports quiz too.. and i kinda forgot all my physics. bleah.. jus hope i do well enough:) two quizzes and 1 presentation on weds.. it's gonna be busy busy busy!!

hello!! can anyone see who's that guy in the picture?? apparently he's some superhost guy and some of the girls are rather crazy about him. muahahah. so when they wanted to take photo i jus popped my head in and ended up standing beside him!! yes.. the photo is rather blur cos we used a handphone.. haha but still.. he's quite good looking:)

so whats up with black tshirts and jeans?? we are at IMPRESSARIO finals. it's supposed to be well known in sch but publicity wasnt that good or rather, pple are ignorant so i shall tell you here what impressario is! (right now i'm chewing on a taiwan sausage.. yummy!)

it's jus a talentime competition where pple from universities and all walks of life come compete in a few categories including singing and dancing. so it's jus really nice to meet all these contestants with all kinds of personalities.. the original songwritiers to the experienced singer to the romantic lovesongs.. to the slutty hiphops (hah!)

and there's guest starring angela zhang. she seemed so unhappy and attitude. like black face throughout and she's fussy.. but oh well.. why did they invite her in the first place??

made quite a few frens and the pple i'm with are friendly and nice and some of them are year 3s! so cool.. i have year 3 friends:) hope we really do keep in contact:)

yes.. after a tiring saturday i finally reached home at ard 12 midnight. all the way from 8 in the morning. my contact lens almost fell out man.. and guess wad i was stuck backstage again! and i didnt see the performance!!!

anyway i'm so tired.. woke up at 9 today and realised i still have a lot of things to do and i need to buy a white long sleeve anddd bday presents.. hmm...

firstly i've gotta congratulate my bro on his results.. and being able to stay home this weekend and not getting confined at all..

yea.. recess week's gonna be over oh so sooon.. and i've to wake up early tmr for CAC thing at rock auditorium.. sigh.. my saturday's gonna be burnt there..but i can really tell that CAC pple are quite friendly.. not referring to the main commers though. their faces are like charred black. pukes!. then there's work on sunday and i've gotta do some finishing touches for accounting 2 proj. oh my god la my group sat from 10-6 trying to figure out all our mistakes and trying to make the balance sheet balance. right now it's still a difference of 10 cents but oh well.. we think it's cos of rounding up error which we are not gonna give a damn about. but yay! it finally balanced. we had to relink all our formulas in excel cos some guy from another group told us he never typed numbers in the cells.. only formulas so all the spreadsheets are linked. oh well shant go into the details.. now i jus have to come up with some words to write the report and the proj is done. all for measly 8%.

there's a 20% proj up and coming. i guess accounting 2 is tough.. probably the hardest subject for year 1.. so u guys.. watch out for it! (referring to those who dun like excel cos every tutorial has to be done on excel in some way)

anyway our stats proj got A+. like yayness!! although it's not like a big big thing but our effort did pay off.. our "what-if" business qns that gave us the A.. but till now i still wonder.. wad the hell is "what-if" business qns.?? it's the butt of the joke in my group. i'm the only girl in the group and it's advantageous cos guys are great in stats.. hahah!!

to think i've to wake up so early tmr.. its tiring! the preparation of my ob proj went jus well.. the slides look really nice.. thanks to kenny's microsoft 2007. do you know that ms20007 has loadsa cool functions??!! i'm really falling in love with microsoft and the internet and my laptop. everywhere i go i have to bring it ard and it's switched on all the time when i'm at home.. hehe. talking abt IT savvy huh.. jus about to wow pple with my windows vista.. it'll jus leave them impressed:)

that reminds me of my OB individual assignment.. god i only have one perspective of that picture.. and i need to write about multiple perspectives...

I'm still thinking whether i shud go to berkeley for summer studies. i'm already accepted and its definitely worth the experience... but i've got some commitments left in singapore.. so maybe i wun go after all.. hmm...

IT's CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE!! Time for reunion dinner once again. and once again it's jus the 4 family members in my family reunioning. :) it's time to jus relax and cast schoolwork aside.

this year was a little diff.. we went to royal plaza hotel for buffet. i bet no one knows where's royal plaza right! in fact it's jus oppp hyatt hotel. do pop in one day to check out the great deco! and GREAT FOOD!

anyway the restaurant is newly renovated and the name of the restaurant is THE CAROUSEL. the deco's preetty damn nice. the seats are colourful stripes, revolving around the theme carousel. but there were other classy seats too and i was a little disappointed that i didnt get to sit on a colourful seat.

and there's my family! my bro jus came back from field camp, which explains why he's bald and black hahahaha

and we finally stepped into the restaurant. i was amazed! they had this small glass displays as we walk in showcasing girly and pretty make up!! well.. nothing to do with the buffet but it makes you feel like a princess! and the service is extremely good cos the waiters will keep folding and putting the napkins for you and pulling and pushing in your chairs all the time throughout the whole meal. i was quite embarrassed cos as usual i'm greedy and i keep getting up to take this and that and the waitresses have to keep pulling and pushing my chair.

the cutlery was unique too and i actually used the wrong fork. how dumb of me. my bro used the wrong fork too.. muahaha.. and again they keep changing all cutlery as they change the plates..

and here's my bro and I gorging ourselves with food. he's like a horse la.. eating almost 90% of all the stuff ard.. and after that he was too full to talk.

i guess the food here is like 100x better than in army.. hahaha. poor army dudes. he must have suffered sleeping in a small trench.

there's this cool rotating thing! with chicken and leed pies. my.. these chicken pies are realy deliciousss.. it's hot and crispy and soft and the chicken melts in your mouth!

check out the seafood section. when i saw the oysters mussels lobsters crayfish clams scallops i was like screaming inside me.. all my faveee food la!!!
the picture doesnt do the food justice cos i only took a photo of it at the end when the oysters are half gone and messy on the ice.

and there's the jap section.. didnt eat all the sushi rice thingy. i only ate sashimi which is tasty and fresh:) yay!

and there's the roast section.. beef, lamb and roast chicken. i only ate a bit of beef cos all these meat will make me too full for dessert. there's something wrong with my bro and I, even though we knew we'd be freaking full after eating carbo stuff like potatoes and pasta we jus had to eat them! the potatoes are wonderful! some of the best potatoes i've eaten. i really like potatoes.. pasta is good too cos it's cooked on the spot. but i was irritated with the chef cos i said creamy and he gave me tomatoey.. eeks..

dessert oh dessert.. one of the best varieties there. hell lot. all kinds of cakes and fruits and new year goodies and not forgetting....

CHOCOLATE FONDUE!! there are like kids constantly running towards the chocolate fountain, excited and all..

Primary school gathering!! haha. amazing yea?! like after 8 yrs of not seeing/talking to each other.. we met again! everyone looks similar though.. :) its jus really nice to see everyone again.. haha. cant describe that feeling..

my cough is recovering i think.. went to see the doctor and it bloody costs 40 bucks.. hai.. how i vow not to be sick again! the doctor said i had a mild case of bronchitis which i dunno whether is serious or not.. but luckily he said i wud be fine after finishing up the medicine. urgh.. my body cycle's been screwed up.. sleeping at least 12 hours a day? think cos of the medicine which makes me drowsy during lessons..

i hope i get better like by the weekend.. how i miss all the good food! and tepanyaki which i was supposed to have last weekend and i ended up eating porridge at crystal jade.

jus finished watching the superstar show.. i think they're quite fake.. like seriously. i dun even know why i watch it.. perhaps cos there's no other show to watch?? wad happened to all the nice shows like america's next top model, proj runway??

lessons again at 830 tmr.. i really hope i can crawl out of bed..hmmm.. and then it'll be salsa lessons after school! yay!
